The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
8.5 / 10
Honestly, what is there to say about Skyrim that hasn’t already been said? Skyrim is a game beloved by many, and with the power of the modding community, it’s been kept alive for almost a whopping 12 years! Despite multiple teasers being dropped for an Elder Scrolls VI title, the release date is still a mystery, and the game is speculated to still be a few years off from release.
That won’t stop Bethesda from making money from it though, having released an anniversary edition of the game on the 11th of November in 2021, adding new features and patching some of the neverending list of bugs and glitches that players have grown so fond of.
Despite Skyrims incredibly long life, the hack-and-slash adventure is close to my heart, and whenever I return to the cold, harsh climate of Skyrim, I’m always greeted with a warm sense of nostalgia. Whether I’m facing dragons, plunging ancient ruins, or raiding bandit camps, I always feel right at home. I first played the game on its initial release date, and even now I still play through its entirety at least once a year, and the great thing is that I discover something new every time!
